What will the renovation and building provide for each ministry?
A new Gospel-centered childcare center and after-school care program.
The basement and main floor will house Joshua Tree Ministries with 12 classrooms, a kitchen area, and bathrooms on each floor. These classrooms will be for childcare from infants to three and four-year-olds.
The 2nd floor will be utilized by Network of Us for an after-school care program. This floor has a larger gathering area surrounded by 9 smaller rooms that will have focused activities such as an art room, gaming room, exercise room, etc. Three other larger classrooms can be used for Discovery Groups (using the Discovery Series curriculum).
What will the building renovation cost?
The full renovation cost will be about $2.2 million (All floors and commercial kitchen).
Phase 1: Asbestos Removal & 84 New Windows COMPLETED, $200k
Phase 2: Main Level / Lower Level AUGUST 2025, $1.7m
Phase 3: 2nd Level & Commercial Kitchen, FUTURE, $525k
Since this building has been vacant and in need of significant repairs as well as more requirements from city inspectors, our new renovation budget has increased to $2.2 million. We now have to add new HVAC and fresh air systems, upgrade to 3-phase power (from single phase), new sprinkler system, all new flooring, lighting, plumbing, paint, doors, windows, security, fire alarm, etc.
Invested Cash: $1.7m (July 2025, with a goal to open end of 2025)
Current Need: $525,000 (additional funds needed to complete 2nd Level & Kitchen)
