Asbestos mitigation with tile floors is almost complete. 84 new windows are also en route with replacement beginning in January!
Asbestos tile has been removed on all floors as we prepare a “clean slate” for continued renovations of new flooring and making the building safe for the childcare center. Part 2 of the asbestos mitigation is the removal of 84 windows (with asbestos glue and glaze) to be replaced with brand new double-pane efficient windows for better temperature control and efficiency.
We’re currently finalizing construction plans and documents to submit to the city for review to begin with plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and sprinkler installation starting at the beginning of 2025. We’re continuing to raise funds but are committed to starting and continuing the step of faith to see this building and vision come to life to change the trajectory fo many children’s lives.
